JOB SUMMARY
The Corporate Relations Officer supports and contributes to the overall success of the Corporate Relations Team of MAP International by facilitating and expanding gift-in-kind (GIK) donations of pharmaceuticals (medicines), health supplies, and devices from donor companies as well as cash donations from these same corporate donors. The Corporate Relations Team, as part of the Partnership and Innovations Team, provides opportunities for companies to promote Corporate Social Responsibility through partnering with MAP International in our joint mission of providing medicines to people in need around the world.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
PROSPECTING
• Conducts research, compiles and prepares statistical reports to support existing and potential company partnerships and evaluates organizational performance in the global health arena
• Prospects for new pharmaceutical and health supply companies and updates acquisition list
• Researches new GIK donor prospects in the healthcare industry and develops cultivation and engagement plans
• Develops strategies, plans and materials for the solicitation of GIK and cash donations from the healthcare industry including strategies that target corporate leadership, employees and foundations
• Works on detailed research projects with the Corporate Relations team in order to increase GIK and cash revenue.
OBTAINS GIFT IN KIND AND CASH DONATIONS
• Under the direction of the Director, Corporate Relations, manages, cultivates and deepens relationships with major pharmaceutical companies. Effectively communicate with existing and potential pharmaceutical company donors, and proactively managing administrative tasks and deadlines associated with these relationships, including organizing meeting agendas and leading effective meetings with corporate partners.
• Contributes to the Corporate Relations Team’s yearly GIK and cash goals
• Conducts presentations for corporate employees or key personnel from assigned portfolio
• Write grant requests and funding proposals for gift-in-kind product donations or cash donations and manage all necessary feedback reports for donations received.
• Supports audits conducted by corporate donors, including pre-audit reporting and communications requested by corporate partners.
• Keeps CRM data (Agilon ONE) for portfolio up to date and accurate at all times
REPORTING AND COMMUNICATIONS
• Provides stewardship reports for CRO team on donated GIK and cash
• Follows the CR communication plan to keep the portfolio donors engaged on a regular basis
• Execute assigned communications and tasks associated with obtaining disaster relief funding from corporate partners in the event of a disaster or humanitarian crisis.
• Support CRO Marketing CME’s work with MAP’s Marketing Department to develop materials to promote the partnership between MAP and the healthcare industry
• Coordinates all Corporate Relations impact data needs to provide effective monitoring and evaluation reports to meet the donor’s requirements. This involves use of Tableau/POWERBI, development or new reports, and pulling data for donor presentations as requested.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
This role will work as part of the Corporate Relations team (the CROs), and will participate in Partnership and Innovation meetings which include the Short Term Missions, Domestic Medicines and Partnership teams. Interaction is also required with Marketing, Operations, Finance and Compliance

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree, required.
• Project Management experience, preferred.
• 2 – 5 years of pharmaceutical and health supply industry engagement and/or Non-profit experience, preferred
• GIK procurement (Sales), Fundraising and/or Marketing experience desired

• Excellent organizational skills and proven diligence with ability to successfully manage multiple projects at once.

• Strong interpersonal and relationship development skills
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs including SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Teams is required. Experience with a CRM is preferred.
• Excellent phone skills, clear diction, and sensitivity to importance of donor relationships and serving those relationships well.
• Ability to prioritize and make good decisions/judgments.
